Dr. Deep Mukhopadhyay, CEO and Founder of Sharp Machine, is an AI expert with over 15 years of research experience spanning statistics, machine learning, and data science.His Ph.D. research under the guidance of the renowned Prof. Emanuel Parzen at Texas A&M earned him the prestigious Emanuel Parzen Graduate Research Fellowship Award.He also holds a Master’s in Statistics from IIT Kanpur, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding academic achievement, along with the N. Balakrishnan Award and the Prof. J N Kapur Prize for Mathematical Excellence.Dr. Mukhopadhyay has authored over 30 top-tier publications and held faculty roles at Stanford and Temple University.
Dr. Jerome H. Friedman

Prof. Jerome H. Friedman, a renowned statistician and machine learning expert from Stanford University, is a key member of our leadership team. He is widely celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to AI and statistics, including the development of gradient boosting machines (GBM), classification and regression trees (CART), and multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS). His co-authored textbook The Elements of Statistical Learning is a foundational reference in the field. Prof. Friedman has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ACM Data Mining Lifetime Innovation Award (2002), the Emanuel and Carol Parzen Award for Statistical Innovation (2004), and the IEEE Computer Society Data Mining Research Contribution Award (2012).He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a member of the National Academy of Sciences, reflecting his profound impact on AI and machine learning.
Dr. David S. Moore

Dr. David S. Moore, an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Pitzer College and Claremont Graduate University, earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in Developmental and Biological Psychology. A leading developmental cognitive neuroscientist, his research focuses on cognitive development in infants and its applications to AI, contributing to more adaptive systems. His book The Developing Genome won both the William James Book Award and the Eleanor Maccoby Book Award from the American Psychological Association (APA), recognizing a book expected to have a profound effect on developmental psychology. Dr. Moore has served as Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Developmental Sciences Program (2016 - 2018) and as a science consultant for DARPA’s Machine Common Sense program (2018 – 2024). He is a Fellow of the APA.

Dr. Kaijun Wang, our Chief AI Scientist, holds a Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Temple University, where his groundbreaking research in statistical machine learning earned him the prestigious George Carides Memorial Award. He has published extensively in top journals such as Biometrika and Nature Scientific Reports. He also holds an M.S. from USC in Mathematical Finance and completed postdoctoral research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His deep expertise in AI, combined with his outstanding computing skills, will play a vital role in advancing our software.
